چکیده
A 35-year-old multipara presented at 17 weeks gestation with a right breast mass and bloody nipple discharge. On examination, she had a palpable 10 · 9 cm right breast mass and a 4 cm right axillary lymph node. A core biopsy revealed invasive ductal carcinoma. The tumor was negative for estrogen, progesterone, and HER2 receptors—a triple-negative phenotype. Limited staging with liver ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging of Tand L-spine were unrevealing for metastases. After multidisciplinary discussions with high-risk maternal and fetal specialists and oncologists, at 24 weeks gestation, the patient received four cycles of dose-dense doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide (AC), with growth factor [granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF)] support between each cycle with dramatic response [1]. Serial fetal ultrasounds during chemotherapy indicated normal fetal growth and development. Subsequently, the patient started weekly paclitaxel—also with Annals of Oncology letters to the editor

A case report of locally advanced triple negative breast cancer showing pathological complete response to weekly paclitaxel with bevacizumab treatment following disease progression during anthracycline-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy
INTRODUCTION Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) is the standard of care for locally advanced triple negative breast cancer, however, approximately 5% of cases show disease progression during NAC. Although downstaging is essential to create an opportunity for curative surgery and to improve the local control outcome in such a case, no additional line of chemotherapy has been established. CASE PRES...

There was little evidence of weekly cisplatin regimen either for the locally advanced breast cancer or the metastatic setting. We aimed to evaluate that whether the combination of weekly paclitaxel and cisplatin could improve the efficacy of the neoadjuvant treatment for patients with locally advanced breast cancer. Patients with histologically confirmed large operable breast cancer received pa...

متن کاملCisplatin versus carboplatin in combination with paclitaxel as neoadjuvant regimen for triple negative breast cancer
Background Platinum salts have demonstrated sufficient efficacy and safety for consideration of their use in a neoadjuvant setting for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). Patients and methods We retrospectively analyzed 145 TNBC cases to compare the activity and tolerability of cisplatin and carboplatin. Two groups received weekly paclitaxel and platinum salts. Results In total, 87% of pa...
